My name is Kisha and I am a mom of two little ones. I struggled to find maternity clothes when I was pregnant. The limited maternity store options I had just a couple of years ago are all gone now. Even when they were around, they were so expensive! Especially for something you are only going to wear for such a short time. I had to order most things online and obviously couldn't try them on first, which is so important. I thought there had to be a more affordable, sustainable way to do this. So, we built The Bump Store! I would love to help make you more comfortable and cute on a budget and in a way that is better for the environment. Come see me!
My Story
Originally from Pittsburg, KS, I moved to Lawrence to attend KU and received multiple degrees as a Jayhawk. My passions range from women's rights, racial justice, and LGBTQIA+ rights to environmentalism, supporting small businesses, and being active in the community. Our commitment to sustainability is further reflected in the work of my husband, who works in solar and teaches at JCCC. If you see him at the shop, ask about our solar and battery backup at our house!
