About
My name is Kisha.
When I was pregnant, finding maternity clothes was a real challenge. The few stores catering to maternity wear that existed just a couple of years ago have all vanished. And even when they were around, they were ridiculously pricey! It didn't make sense to spend so much on clothes you'd only wear temporarily. So, like many, I resorted to online shopping, but not being able to try things on first was frustrating. That's when I realized there had to be a better way – one that's both affordable and sustainable. That's why my husband and I created The Bump Store! We're all about helping you feel comfortable and stylish without draining your wallet or harming the environment. Swing by and let's make your maternity journey a breeze!
My Story
Originally from Pittsburg, KS, I moved to Lawrence to attend KU and received multiple degrees as a Jayhawk. My passions range from women's rights, racial justice, and LGBTQIA+ rights to environmentalism, supporting small businesses, and being active in the community. Our commitment to sustainability is further reflected in the work of my husband, who works in solar and teaches at JCCC. If you see him at the shop, ask about our solar and battery backup at our house!
